We are thrilled to announce the Science Summit at the United Nations General Assembly 79 (UNGA79), a landmark event aimed at harnessing the power of science and innovation to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals. As we prepare to host this momentous summit, we are seeking dedicated volunteers to join us in creating an impactful and memorable experience for all participants.

About the Summit: The Science Summit at SDGs will serve as a platform for scientists, researchers, policymakers, and advocates to come together to address the pressing challenges outlined in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, and collaborative sessions, the summit will explore innovative solutions and foster partnerships to accelerate progress towards achieving the SDGs.

Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteers play a vital role in ensuring the success of the Science Summit. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of the event, including:

  1. Registration and Guest Services: Welcome participants, assist with registration, distribute badges, and provide information about summit logistics and schedules.
  2. Session Support: Ensure the smooth operation of summit sessions by assisting speakers, managing attendee seating, and facilitating Q&A sessions.
  3. Exhibit Hall Assistance: Support exhibitors with setup and teardown, assist attendees with navigating the exhibit hall, and provide information about sustainable initiatives and technologies showcased.
  4. Workshop Facilitation: Assist workshop facilitators with setup, participant registration, and logistics during interactive sessions focused on addressing specific SDGs.
  5. Communications and Social Media: Help promote the summit on social media platforms, engage with attendees online, and capture and share highlights of summit sessions and activities.
  6. Logistics and Operations: Assist with various logistical tasks, including transportation coordination, signage placement, and general event operations.
