Science Summit at United Nations General Assembly 78 from 12 to 29 September 2023, Virtual and In-Person (New York)
ISC and its partners will organise the 9th edition of the Science Summit around the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA78) on 12-29 September 2023.
The role and contribution of science to attaining the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be the central theme of the Summit.
The objective is to develop and launch science collaborations to demonstrate global science mechanisms and activities to support the attainment of the UN SDGs, Agenda 2030 and Local2030. The meeting will also prepare input for the United Nations Summit of the Future, which will take place during UNGA79 beginning on 12 September 2024.
REGISTRATION
You can view the programme without registering but in order to JOIN any Virtual or In-Person session/s YOU NEED TO REGISTER.
Registration is free of charge.
Registration will allow you to select the sessions you want to attend. Only by selecting the session, you will SEE THE BUTTON TO ACCESS THE VIDEO STREAM
To select a session click on the white circle near the session title. By doing that, you will be creating your own schedule called “My schedule”. Once you have selected your sessions, see your schedule by hovering over your profile picture and selecting “My Schedule”.
For attendance to In-Person sessions, you also need to select the session. Some In-Person sessions might require you to provide additional information to complete your registration. Your registration will be check-up at the entrance. In-Person sessions take place in different locations around New York.

SCHEDULE
The programme contains around 300 science sessions on how to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. All of the sessions are virtual and some of them are also being held at a location in New York (In-Person sessions). It is advised to Filter them by Type, Date, Venue and Virtual/In-Person to help identifying the sessions you want to attend. Please use the right sidebar menu to filter.
The session capacity is unlimited for Virtual sessions. For In-Person sessions the limit is set up individually in each session.
